Sustainability Report Analysis: Burberry

Pioneering Women Series: our series amplifying the work of women that work in sustainable luxury, this week we take a look at the Burberry Sustainability Report.

Seems in the same way that this was a big election year it was a big year for Luxury CEO changes. The Burberry story is no different. What's striking and different is to the previous series posts is the strength of the financial position in the last 5 years.

This year's financial picture tells a different story. Revenue is down 20% and Operating Loss is £41m (H1 FY 2025), with that came reports of hundreds of job losses ~400 reported (The Business of Fashion). New CEO, Joshua Schulman has shared the new strategy- Burberry Forward, repositioning core products, heritage and other aspects (link will be in the comments).

New CEO, Joshua Schulman appointed from July 2024.
