Hurr Hits £100m Rentals Milestone
The fashion rental platform Hurr, founded by Victoria Prew recently announced they had hit a milestone of £100m in rental value.
This is a big win for mainstream circularity and a signal for where the market will go as consumer adoption rises. Lucrative side hustles from renting your wardrobe have been documented with one success story from a Hurr customer, Kelly Keogh . Kelly describes rental to Glamour Magazine as her business and full-time job, earning £100,000 from renting her wardrobe. In the article, she shares some popular rental brands, including Zimmerman, Aje, Cult Gaia, Reformation and Self-Portrait.
An unintended spin-off from the activity is another business Kelly has gone on to set up as a result of her success, The Lender Collective which includes services such as Mentoring, a Toolkit and Consultancy.
Earlier in the year Hurr launched Hurr Flex a 30-day rental option that enables customers to rent everyday items such as sunglasses, blazers, shirts and jumpers. The scheme operates a two-tier system with two passes. The Premium Pass costing £99, gives you £170 to spend and The Pro Pass: costing £125, gives you £225.
