Sarah is the Founder of Tongoro a fashion brand she founded over 8 years ago.
Sarah established a sustainable fashion brand by designing, sourcing fabrics, and manufacturing products in Senegal. She promotes the economic and social development of West African artisanal workers whilst preserving African craftsmanship.
Sarah's designs have graced the wardrobes of A-list celebrities including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Naomi Campbell, and Burna Boy.
Recognition is given to Sarah for facilitating the economic empowerment of the artisanal community and preserving African craftsmanship in Senegal by embedding the purpose in her brand’s values.
